Compete with Apple's third-party applications is not easy: Cupertino not only sets the bar incredibly high, but often simply does not allow for such a competition. Each case is interesting competition. Developer Sparrow saw Mail.app and disadvantages created for OSX own e-mail client. Opera is sure that Mobile Safari could be better, so dragged in the App Store own browser.
The developers of the Intelligent Simpleness Plan created an application for the iPhone, which actually competes with iCal.
Plan offers the user a completely different interface. It is interesting, unusual, but obviously requires getting used to (and is a minus, because you can immediately use the iCal). All calendar events are presented on a single screen.
To see the events of the next day, it is necessary proskrollit horizontal bar at the top of the screen.
Add a new event by clicking on the button with a "+" sign. Adding very fast, because you in one tap indicates the time, and do not rotate "the drum."
In fact, Plan is a "superstructure" over the standard calendar. He uses all the built-in features iCal, synchronized with other calendars (Google Calendar, MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, Yahoo!). Superstructure shallow, unfortunately. For example, when you create an event and set a reminder, the reminder is triggered iCal'om rather than Plan.
Plan looks interesting, but use it less convenient than iCal. After a week of testing applications, I finally returned to epplovskomu calendar. However, you may enjoy it more Plan.
Application advantages:
+ Quickly add events
Interesting interface +
+ Russian Language Support
applications Disadvantages:
- Not of great intrinsic value: The application must be their own reminders.
- High price.
- The idea to combine calendar events and tasks - quite controversial (it may have both supporters and opponents).
