We wrote Vladimir Novosel author 4ROUND application. 4ROUND uses the Panoramio photo service, to introduce iPhone owners with sites in various cities. Word of the author:
We have released an update to its application 4ROUND radically reworked its interface and greatly expanded functionality. 4ROUND app provides easy access to photos from photoservice Panoramio by Google directly from your iPhone and iPod touch.
All photos in Panoramio contain geotag that is tied to the place of its creation. Thus, by choosing any place of the world on Google Maps, you can browse the photos taken in the immediate vicinity.
If you are traveling or are in a new place - the app will find out what interesting things around you, and if you're just curious - will help to find new places and see the world in photographs taken in different people.
The functionality of the application
Use the application very simple. In the search parameters, select the last 100 or 100 most popular pictures we want to see and search radius.
By default, the application searches around your current location, but you can change this in Location section, by simply typing the desired address in the search bar.
All addresses you've searched, saved in Web History and favorite locations can be bookmarked. Both lists are available by clicking on the blue icon in the Bookmarks bar Search.
Once chosen location and set the search parameters, press the Search button and get the thumbnails of photos from Panoramio service.
The resulting thumbnails can be viewed as a list with the names and dates of creation or as thumbnails.
Photos are sorted by the distance from the selected location.
Choose a photo and go to view it in full screen mode. The panels can be hidden tapnuv on the screen, similar to the standard photo album.
Navigation in full view mode is performed habitual or flipping finger via the bottom panel of the arrows.
It is supported by a horizontal preview mode.
By clicking on the icon in the lower right corner, you can go to the map and posmoret, where the photo was taken, as well as a route to that location or add it to your bookmarks.
Lining the route takes place in the standard Maps application and possible if the routes are available for the area.
Favorite photos can be added to Favorites by simply tapping on the bottom panel of the sprocket. List of all selected photos is available from the main application screen.
The application 4ROUND added ample export opportunities. You can save photos in the library, copy the link to a photo or picture itself, send photos by e-mail, share it on Twitter or publish on your wall to Facebook.
These Twitter and Facebook accounts are defined in the application settings.
