Ios / / December 20, 2019
appeared in iOS 9.3 function Night Shift, or, more simply, a night mode can be switched on automatically at scheduled times. However, some users have reported that this option is not available from them. We'll show you how to fix it.
Night Shift changes the color temperature of the display toward warmer tones to reduce the influence of the cold blue glow on circadian rhythms and, as a consequence, to save you from trouble falling asleep. The function can be activated manually directly from the blinds "Control Point", but it can also be included automatically according to a schedule, adjusting the color temperature depending on the time days.
Unfortunately, the feature schedules completely absent in some users. It turned out that this is not no bug and not a regional limitation: the whole point of geolocation services. For automatic operation of the Night Shift it needs access to the location data for the system service of jet lag. If it is disabled, the schedule function will be disabled.
The solution is quite simple - to enable the service you want, and for this we need to do the following:
1. Go to "Settings» → «Privacy» → «Location Services".
2. We find the item "System Services" and include in it the toggle switch "Time Zone".
3. Reboot your iOS-device, by simultaneously pressing the Home button and the Power and hold them until the apple on a white background.
After rebooting, go to "Settings» → «Display and brightness» → Night Shift and see there was a section "planned." This is necessary to us schedule.
In addition to the Night Shift, in iOS 9.3 there is another interesting feature - Notes password protection or Touch ID. Read more about her, we told here.
