Taylor Wilson and his "Star in a glass", built in the garage
A Life / / December 19, 2019
Taylor Wilson built in his garage fusion reactor, when he was 14 years old. At 13 he had an idea of his head that he wanted to build a star in his garage. As a result, he received a pocket fusion reactor. Then, in the same place, in his garage, he built a detector, which is now enjoying the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the United States. It costs hundreds of dollars and much more sensitive than those that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Recently, I increasingly come across a video with the children who have made a lot of interesting and useful scientific discovery, to which adults are just not smart enough.
I understand that geniuses are not born every year, but I think that we underestimate children too. Unblinkered child's mind is capable of much, because he does not know what really make something like that in his garage without the infusion of millions from the budget or sponsorship money just impossible.
And at the same time I understand that this is the construction of the "star in the glass" could end in a mini nuclear explosion. But not ended. And here the main question - what would happen if the parents have forbidden Tylor build such dangerous toys in the garage in the back yard? Maybe due to this boy soon our world will move to a new, more secure energy sources? And maybe somewhere in the other country the same boy or girl will invent cheap drugs from the same cancer or hepatitis C in my home lab?
I'd like to believe that more people will trust the choice of their children and not to push a talented musician to law, because now it is prestigious. You do not know what will be the prestigious 5 years. Taylor Wilson has not yet developed in his garage a time machine. Although... who knows what project he's working;)
