Skiing, snowmobiling, kayaking - all about him, 34-year-old adventurer and ekstrimala Grant Korgan. He was born in a small town in northern Nevada (USA), which is probably why he is so fond of mountains, snow and speed.
In this there is something magical - to be there, where no man has gone before. Be in conditions that others rarely experience. At the same time you know that you, your decisions and your team - this is the only way to go back. It is an amazing feeling.
Over the next portion of such sensations in spring 2010, Corgan went to the snow-capped mountains "Sierra Nevada" (California, USA). as a result of a failed stunt snowmobile Grant broke his spine on 5 March.
Fortunately, the right to administer first aid and rapid hospitalization Corgan saved lives and allowed to successfully start rehabilitation. Complete paralysis of the lower limbs and a lack of sensation below the chest - in this state Grant spent 21 months.
Many lasting intensive care. Corgan replied "No" to any attempts to regret it. Neither he nor his wife, nor his parents were not looking for any excuses. They understood that the grant does not need sympathy, all that he needs to recover - is patience, love and support.
This "therapy" produced results - sensitivity returned, Corgan began to move the legs. And then I got out of the wheelchair and started to learn to walk with crutches.
