Let's be honest. If you are currently dissatisfied with their lives and do not wake up with a sense of anticipation of a new day, with this need to do something about it. You deserve to live fully. So I want to share an idea, which greatly affected the quality of my own life.
I believe that from her need to have fun. As written by Richard Koch (Richard Koch) in his book "The 80/20 principle":" Make that love to do. Let this be your work. " He based his discovery of the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto (Vilfredo Federico Damaso Pareto), which is later formulated into eponymous principle according to which 20% of the effort for 80% results.
This principle is often used in the economy, but it you can apply to any area of life. For example, Koch believed that about 20% of our actions bring us 80% of happiness. Of course, these figures are conditional. Sometimes 90% of happiness depends on 10% of actions. In my case 100% determined by one single factor - the energy.
Understand how energy level affects your happiness
I've been thinking about it and to understand, constantly asking himself:
- Why today I have a good mood?
- Why is my bad mood?
- Why now I'm happy?
- Why now I tense?
Answers I wrote in my diary. I do believe diary very helpful. Eventually I noticed that constantly repeats the same thing: my mood depends on the amount of energy.
- A lot of energy - in a good mood. I'm confident, looking forward to the future, smile, enjoy life and do what I like.
- Little energy - in a bad mood. I'm sad, I'm not sure of myself, I'm afraid to think about the future, avoid looking people in the eye, nervous.
All this seems to be obvious, but no one teaches you how to manage your energy - neither in school nor at work. Even though it affects the quality of life.
Learn how to manage your energy
To begin, ask yourself:
- What actions are destroying my mood and deflate of my energy?
- What actions cheer up and charge me with energy?
And let's not answering, "I love to go to parties and spend money." This is not serious answer, and if you're reading this, then you are really thinking about their future.
Let me explain by example. Writing articles for me a difficult and tedious affair, it does not gives me positive emotions. But now, after I write something, I'm pleased with myself, I have a lot of energy. So for me it's worth it. So the point is not to avoid difficulties. And to follow, how certain actions affect energy level and sense of happiness.
- Determine which 20% give the most positive results. Walk on every area of life: health, work, relationshipFinance. Then try more often to perform these actions.
- Continually assess whether the situation has changed. To do this, keep a diary entry, and ask yourself whether you are on the right track. Life is not static - you have to manually adjust your course.
Do not seek to be in a good mood every minute: it's still impossible. Learn to manage your energy, to take pleasure in what you do, and easier to endure the difficulties of life. Start with the question "What is one action I can accomplish today to improve your mood?". Repeat this issue tomorrow. And the day after tomorrow. And every day after that.
