S8 Plus - this is the second attempt of the company to release Bluboo «Samsung S8 for the people." It slightly increased the manufacturer screen size, added memory and made a number of other minor changes. But let everything in order.

Specifications

In Bluboo S8 Plus is a chip MediaTek MT6750T, which is now used in many smartphones. Its processor consists of two clusters, each of which includes four cores. To perform simple tasks using the first cluster, clocked at 1.0 GHz. If necessary, more complex computation connects the second cluster, which core operate at a frequency of 1.5 GHz.

One of the few differences between the new smartphone from ordinary Bluboo S8 is to increase the memory capacity. The amount of memory is 4 GB, which is more than enough to provide multi-tasking. However, the overall performance of the device is almost not affected, as we will see through the synthetic tests, the results of which you will see a little later.

Packaging and appearance

Bluboo S8 Plus smartphone came to us in a nice black box of cardboard. On its cover is the name of the model and amount of RAM.

Components surprised: a standard charger, a silicone sheath and the protective film, manufacturer for some reason, put two identical cable USB Type-C and two identical adapter to connect headphones. It is not clear why we need duplicate, but let it be - might be useful.

Externally, the smartphone does not differ from Bluboo S8 - because we will not consider changing to a few millimeters in size important differences? The same layout, the same materials.

Bluboo S8 Plus looks excellent, as befits a smart phone, whose design copied from Samsung S8. Large 6-inch screen takes up almost the entire front surface, leaving only a centimeter margins at the top and bottom. Small frame on the sides are present, but they do not catch the eye and does not spoil the view.

On the right side of the device is the power button, on the other - two volume keys. The buttons sit tight, no backlash or rattling is not observed.

External speaker Bluboo S8 Plus, unfortunately, is not suitable for anything other than play ringtones. The complete absence of any frequency does not allow to use it for listening to music.

Much better things when headphones are connected. In this case, there are low and high frequencies, a good stereo base and balance of sound. However, the need to use a USB Type-C adapter does not add joy, so it is best to look for a good Bluetooth-headset.

Performance

Given the fact that smartphones with a stuffed repeatedly visited on our reviews, we did not expect from Bluboo S8 Plus any revelations in terms of performance. It was interesting to others: how it will affect the extra gigabyte of RAM, compared to the usual work Bluboo S8.

The answer is simple - nothing. All test programs have shown that the difference between Bluboo S8 Plus and Bluboo S8 is within a mathematical error. This means that you have no need now to pay for the 4 GB of RAM, unless you do not plan to use the smartphone for two or more years. It is likely that in the future really will be so resource-intensive applications and an additional amount of memory will make a difference.

In general, the performance of the smartphone is at a decent level. It easily copes with all types of mobile tasks, including modern games.

The battery unit has a capacity of 3600 mAh. It seems to be a good indicator that allows to hope for longer operating time of the smartphone. However, the test results are not so optimistic.

As you can see in the screenshot above, Bluboo S8 Plus lasted the test PCMark Work 2.0 battery life a little more than 6 hours. It's not much, but still allow you to actively use the device without recharging for a full day. But in the evening smartphone necessarily have to put on additional charge.

Camera

Despite the fact that the manufacturer's website proudly reports on the use in the Sony IMX258 sensor main chamber, in fact, an older Sony IMX135. But do not rush to blame Bluboo of deception and make premature conclusions about the quality of the photos.

Comparison of actual shots taken using Bluboo S8 Plus and other smartphones, which is really worth Sony IMX258 unit, brought unexpected results. It turned out that the hero of our review gives a much more detailed and sharp photos. Which once again proves that the model of the sensor - this is important, but more importantly the quality of the software, which is responsible for image processing.

So much to blame the camera work is not necessary: ​​under good conditions of shooting it is able to give out pictures of acceptable quality. Not a masterpiece, of course, but on-screen display can be without fear.

However, in low light with the help of this smart phone is best not to take pictures, which, however, for the majority of Chinese "public sector."

But the camera software pleases lots of different shooting modes, artistic filters and special effects applied in real time. When shooting with a front camera, you can use a variety of masks, glasses and beards that will please fans of funny social networking.

The operating system in Bluboo S8 Plus 360 OS used on Android 7.0 base. This software authorship software company Qihoo is quite common in Chinese smartphones.

The only problem Bluboo S8 Plus - it's autonomy. The stated capacity of the battery gave hope for better results than it turned out in reality. Hopefully, the reason lies not as a battery, and a lack of optimization software, which will be fixed in one of the updates.
