How to create a Minecraft server: step by step guide

1. Download the necessary files
You will need the latest version of Javajava Download and a file server Minecraft - release date can be found on the official website of the developerBoot the server MINECRAFT: JAVA EDITION. Java must be installed and the server file in a separate folder, for example C: / Games / Minecraft Server.
2. Configure the server
Run the file server.jar. If you see a window "Open with," select a Java application. In the server folder will eula.txt document - open it and in the last line, change the value from false to true. This will mean that you accept the license agreement. Otherwise, the server will not work.
Start server.jar again. It will be the server. Box on the right - a console that lists all actions performed by the program. At the upper left is statistics, and under it - a list of players that are currently on the server.
After the inscription Done, then close the window will appear in the console. Any text editor, open the server.properties file in the server folder. This is a list of program options. Set the desired parameters, changing the value appearing after the = sign in the respective lines.

3. Start the server and connect to it
Once they are set, run server.jar. When you see the inscription «Done», it will be possible to connect to the server. To do this, you need to Minecraft the main menu, select "Multiplayer", click "Add server", enter the desired IP-address and press "Start".
If the server is running on the same computer as the game is in the IP field simply enter «localhost» or «127.0.0.1». If not, then you need to discover current IP device.
4. Managed Servers
