We present you a brief overview of the exciting additions that have caught our attention lately.
In this review, you will learn about the two (1) extensions to display notifications in Firefox, a convenient method to Chrome tabs and useful tool for learning languages for the Opera browser.
Tab notifier
In Google Chrome has a convenient notification system that informs you of important events from Web applications, even if the corresponding page is not in the foreground. Something similar can be implemented in Firefox c by extending Tab notifier. It can display notifications from services such as Gmail, imo.im, while for others (Hotmail, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) may track changes in the page header and display the corresponding notification.
MyNotify
This extension has a similar focus, but lends itself to a more fine-tuning. With it, you can be notified when any fragment open in the background of the page. For example, when you change the song in the music service, changes in the financial quotations or when updates in the news. You only need to click on the extension icon, and then tell it which item web page you want to track.
GNotifier
This extension is useful only for Linux users. It enables the integration of the notification of the Firefox browser to the general notification system. Supports GNOME shell, KDE, Xfce and Unity.
Tab Resize
With the ability to easily switch between open tabs, we have the opportunity to do several tasks at the same time. However, if you need not just switch between pages and constantly monitor several of them, the problem of simultaneous placement on the screen can be quite daunting. Therefore, we recommend that you try the extension Tab Resize, which in one click organize your tabs according to your chosen template.
Mark As Read
This extension is useful to those users who open multiple pages in separate tabs, and then confused, that you want to read now, what then, and what they have already read. Mark As Read allows each page to assign one of three marks: «Read», «Reading» or «Read later», which are displayed as icons in the address bar. You can also bind to a short text comment page.
LinguaLeo Translator
This is an extension of one of the most popular services of foreign language study. With it, you can not only translate your strange words and phrases, but also to replenish their vocabulary in LinguaLeo, to include it in their curriculum.
