How to try the new beta Remix OS in a virtual machine

The recent release of the alpha version Remix OS made a lot noise. It's simple: the operating system is by far the most successful attempt to transfer Android on desktop. We introduce you to the new features published March 1 beta Remix OS, as well as tell you about how each of you can try the system in a virtual machine.
The main innovation in the fresh version is support for dual-boot when installing Remix OS on the hard drive with another operating system. Owners of old computers will appreciate the ability to install Remix OS on 32-bit systems and increase performance even on slower computers.
In addition, there was a built-in upgrade system allows you to receive updates and patches for OS Remix by air.
I am sure that many of our readers would like to touch Remix OS with their own hands. This can be done very simply and perfectly safe for your host operating system via the virtual machine.
- download and set one of the best VirtualBox virtualization software. It is free and has versions for Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac OS X.
- Download the image to your computer Remix OS c this pages. Please note that this version of the Legacy should download a virtual machine. The fastest way is through downloading the torrent.
- Start VirtualBox program and click the button to create a new virtual operating system.
- In the window that appears, enter a name, select the type and version of Linux Other Linux (32-bit).
- Set the size of RAM 1 GB or more (preferably more) and create a dynamic hard drive in the format VDI size not less than 16 GB.
- Once you pass all the stages, press the button start the virtual system. Offering specify the boot disk location window will appear. Select a system image that you downloaded from the website Remix OS. Click on the "Continue" button.
- You will see a boot menu Remix OS. Using the keys, select the item in it Guest Mode. Then press the Tab key and enter the vga = 791, as shown in the screenshot below. Note that there is a space after the unit.

Getting to Know Remix OS leaves a dual impression. On the one hand, there are many arranged in the same way as we used to see it in the desktop operating system, such as in Windows. So that any experienced user can easily sort out with the local main menu, taskbar, and window management. On the other hand, it's still Android with all its features and advantages, chief of which is a huge arsenal of available applications.
However, there is no built Remix OS application directory. You can, of course, download the necessary installation files and put the piece of the program. But it is much easier to install in full Remix OS store Google Play apps, especially when experimenting with new OSes you found interesting and you decide to use it regularly on a flash drive, or even as a second OS on hard disk. To do this, follow these steps.
- Activate the settings Remix OS, see "Security" on the ability to install from unknown sources.
- Download specially created to XDA forum program to install Google services with this pages. Install it as a normal application and run.
- After starting Google Services Installer you see a window with two buttons appear.
- Click on the One-click to install Google Services and wait for the download and install the necessary files.
- Open Remix OS settings and the list of installed applications, locate alternately Google Play Services and Google Services Framework. Clear the cache memory of each of these applications.
- After rebooting Remix OS you should see a full catalog of applications from which you can install all the necessary programs that you need.
