Android / / December 19, 2019
I am sure many evenings like sticks in a smartphone, infinitely scrolling tape of social networks and responding to messages in instant messengers. The problem is so widespread that for its decision, Google has provided even in the upcoming Android P new feature called Wind Down.
Wind Down works simply and reliably: you at the appointed time, the screen smoothly into the monochrome mode, thereby reducing the burden on eyes and psyche. In addition, according to psychologists, black-and-white picture is much less attractive, than the color, so the person becomes much easier to postpone the phone aside and lay down finally sleep.
A small free utility Color Breeze plays this functionality on any version of Android. It works both on devices with root privileges, and so on ordinary smartphones. However, in the latter case, you will need to perform simple manipulation of the command line. Detailed instructions can be found on the developer page.
- Make sure that the "For developers" option is enabled "on the USB Debugging".
- Connect your smartphone to your computer. On it must be set to set Android SDK tools, which can be downloaded here.
- Open a command prompt and type the command
adb devices
To make sure that the connected device is recognized correctly. - Run the command
adb shell pm grant com.reverp.colorbreeze android.permission. WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
. - Open Color Breeze software for smartphones. If all goes well, you'll see a switch to monochrome mode and adjust its automatic activation.
Download Color Breeze can be in the Google Play catalog. The utility is free, but displays ads. They, however, does not interfere, because the program works mainly in the background.
