How to force yourself to work? At the moment, on this planet some 7 billion people. All of us are unique, and each head live cockroaches. Accordingly, methods of motivation, reward and each has its own. For someone perfect method of "carrot and stick", someone lit a fire only in case of the presence of the competitive moment, and someone helps only a good kick.
Method below, in my opinion, for those who are very difficult to get to work, and for whom procrastination - the main and favorite activity.

When I read an article the first time, it was in full agreement with its author that this method GTD looks at least strange. But after reading it and speaking with all the items out loud, I realized that this too makes sense.
This technique is taken from the book by Elizabeth Wilson «Stress-proof your life: 52 Brilliant Ideas for Taking Control». Its essence is that you build your work so that the time for a variety of distractions in the form of social networks, view video or talk in chat rooms you will not be simple. In addition, it has a point of competition with yourself and time, which is very suitable gambling personalities.
1. Make a list of tasks
This is an obvious step, but this list should not be composed of twenty points. Of course, to strive for the highest results, it is very commendable, but let's be realistic. The list should consist of a number of such cases, you are able to not just run and perform quality throughout your working day. I think you know your bar.
2. use the stopwatch
If there is no stopwatch, you can download yourself a timer on your computer Stopwatch.
3. Set the timer for 5 minutes.
4. After the time is up, move on to the next task
How does it look? It's very simple and... a little strange at first glance. You set yourself a timer and starts the task №1 in the list. At a signal from the timer, go to the next step, and so on until the very end of the list. With it you just have to go to the next task, even if the end of the current you need only a few minutes or you caught a wave and are at the peak of his productivity.
You have only a 5-minute period!
5. Once you've completed the circle with five minutes to go ten and then to fifteen, and so on in ascending order
"Curiouser and curiouser," but in this-it is the main highlight of this method. Although at first glance it seems a little strange.
Why it might work?
For example, because the time frame, though limited, but is forced to gather. Although I think that the creative work of such an option is unlikely to fit, because it needs a just freedom. But if your list consists mainly of "official" cases, this is a very good option!
If you are by nature a person gambler, then, ideally, you should have a strong desire to beat himself in next time! We try to work on this system once - was interesting, and for the next time you decide to run for the first 5 minutes more work than happened for the first time. And so on.
Well, what is there to get around procrastination party where some tasks constantly procrastinate and do not have the slightest chance in the next five years to get from the bottom to the tops. Because the thought alone that you will need to do something not very pleasant for the whole day, causing an instant apathy, headache, and a complete unwillingness to work. And then as soon as there is a lot of other "more important" to do! But the idea that you will be working with the entire 5 minutes, scary is not that much. And it is likely that after the first five minutes, the next five will no longer be so terrible and tedious. This can be compared with the performance of the unpleasant parts of the work (for example, I do the cleaning and everything to do with family life). And it works... at least in my case.
Suits you, this technique or not, you can only understand if you try (at least for the sake of interest). Since the first reading it seems rather strange and sometimes absurd, but if you think about it, can be very useful for routine cases.
