Why you do not need clear time and step by step plan to achieve the goal

There is nothing easier than to achieve goals, and there is nothing more difficult than to achieve goals. How many written books as conducted trainings, how much dough was earned on the ignorance of people who consider themselves losers. I am writing this note to yourself, first of all, to understand what I did know about it.
SMART-goals
The most distinct technology to achieve the objectives with which I have read recently. By the way, and without this knowledge, I was able to achieve some results, but not always, sometimes more accurately. So decipher this strange abbreviation, which is also a step by step instruction of goal setting:
- S (Specific, or concrete) - determine the direction of the original move.
- M (Measurable, or measurable) - set its units.
- A (Achievable, or achievable) - compare with the realities of the day and the environment.
- R (Realistic, or realistic, pragmatic) - have subsequent application of achievement.
- T (Timed, or a certain time) - to determine the date or period of achievement.
Here everything is described in detail: "SMART-purpose or goal setting conditions». But why it is not always possible to achieve the goals, sometimes not even start?
Reasons for failure to reach goals
Based on my own experience I want to highlight some problem areas, it is worth paying attention to.
Slurred. When a goal is set indistinctly, it is unclear how to reach it, and it is unclear how to determine that it has been achieved. Example vague goal: to become a dancer. How do you know that you have become a dancer? Hell knows. But more distinct formulation of one year to five times a week for three hours to dance (or dance graduate faculty of the Institute of Culture).
Why do I need this? When you set a goal, you can not answer the question "Why?", Most likely, it will not be achieved. And the body just will not give off enough energy to achieve it, especially when it becomes difficult or tempting. Motivation should be simple and easy to understand, for example: to earn money for a car, take a break from work to update the interior of the apartment, and so on.
Call. Drive appears when in the process of achieving the goal you could slightly surpass themselves. For example, to achieve a better result than before, to win the competition or create something, what you previously did not create, but this idea just energizing. Most often, the challenge is hiding in the formulation of goals is one thing - to lay the brick wall, and quite another - to build the temple.
Deadline. Limiting terms of performance and setting the deadline It acts as a battery for the brain: knowing that the time remains less and less, you begin to better focus on the most important and cut off all unnecessary. Even if the target is very difficult, it can and should be broken down into steps and the first step to appoint a deadline, then take a break and go on.
energy dissipation. It is best to focus on one important goal in the moment, for a maximum of two. Focusing on a number of purposes simultaneously dissipates energy: the river is able to turn the turbine hydroelectric power plant, where all streams merge into a single entity.
What could prevent it? When setting goals it is important to pay attention to the factors that may hinder its achievement. Focusing on helping them find potential problems, develop solutions to them and to insure.
Monitoring progress. It is important to see at what stage you are now, and how much is still left to the end. This is a very stimulating and charges, especially when strength is running and you want to drop everything.
Celebration of the goal. Achievements need to enjoy and celebrate it, especially if you're a long time was going to his goal. Our brain is designed so that it releases neurotransmitters for different things, so we feel pleasure. If we do not feel the pleasure of achieving the objectives, if not celebrate, do not praise yourself, life is finally reduced to an endless race for achievements. We reach for something that in the end to have fun and enjoy the result, or not?
A simple recipe for setting and achieving simple goals
To understand how to achieve goals, not necessarily go into the theory. You need to set yourself a simple goal and achieve it. For example: I want a month to be wrung out 20 times to impress his mother. The boy said the boy planned out, the boy did. It's simple!
But all this garbage
Rather, it is not garbage. These recommendations are working to achieve a simple short-term goals. But to achieve something more, have to these recommendations, to put it mildly, to ignore.
Me they are very confused and depressing, and most recently I realized why.
At first I saw a performance of Maxim Batyreva (manager, author of the book "45 manager tattoos." - Approx. ed), which on the basis of examples from his life all laid out on shelves.:
- The goal should be such that it was not clear how to achieve it. And do not be afraid of this, but on the contrary, to rejoice. Then the purpose of motivating.
- The goal is to lead to a change in lifestyle or life in general.
- The goal should be a call to want to prove something to themselves or to others. The energy appears.
- We need a living example, a reference to believe in the reality, catch up and overtake.
- It is necessary to imagine as if you have already reached it, it's yours. If the target is normal, the dream starts to come true. If you are in a difficult situation - goal and dream you are saving.
Then I came across a book by Steve Pavlina "personal development course for smart people"In which I found the idea of supporting and supplementing my personal guess. Below - a few key quotes.
"Whenever you set the goal to achieve something, always ask yourself the following question:" How to establish this goal improve my present reality? ". If it does not improve your present reality, the goal does not make sense and you can drop it. But if it brings more clarity, the center and motivation in life, when you think about it, it's worth it.
Set goals that make you feel strong, motivated and proactive, long before the final result will be achieved!
If you set a goal that improves your present reality, then what is the difference, how long it takes to achieve the end result: a week, a month or ten years? All the way brings joy and pleasure.
More importantly, you feel happy and satisfied at this very moment. You act in a state of joy, so that you are more and more productive. Instead of having to go to the goal that you think will make you happy in the distant future - focus on the goal that makes you happy right now. Your goals do not actually have to be specific, clear and measurable.
You do not need clear time frame and detailed step by step plan. All that you need - this is a burning desire to take appropriate action.
Do not put boring purposes that do not inflame you. Concentrate on the goals that inspire and motivate you in the present tense. Since this is the only place where you have any real power.
If you are not ready to act, which means that your intentions are weak. You are trying to create something that you do not wish hard enough, and it dies on the vine. Your physical body is a part of the process by which your intentions manifest. True desire will make you get up and start moving. If you find that are not ready to hit a finger, it means that you have set the wrong goals.
Desire - is the fuel for the movement. If you try to use a false desire for fuel, you just will not budge. If there is no movement, there is no motivation.
Achieving meaningful goals, usually it requires hard work, but if your goals are right for you, then this work will not bring you misery.
Choose exciting targets so that to make serious efforts for you will not find it difficult. "
In short, a big dream and desire - that is more important than all the prescriptions and recommendations. This is the main motivation and fuel your ship called "Life."
