Scrum for one. How to effectively move toward the goal
Productivity Motivation / / December 19, 2019
If you are not engaged in software development, the only, perhaps, a way to hear the word Scrum for you - to be a fan of rugby. But in today's note: we are not talking about rugby, and not of the usual Scrum and how to apply this methodology... to yourself.
But how to apply Scrum to me personally?
The main thing that is good in Scrum - gradual and controlled movement of the target, taking into account noise and resources available.
Do everything you can so that you have. Not so hard to fall into despair, when an important project "freezes" for you due to the fact that you do something is not enough for its completion. Yes, maybe now you and there is everything you need to complete, but you definitely have a chance to start and make any steps to success that you have. And here you can see the blessing, familiar Scrum teams with limited resources there are workarounds and new ideas, brings you closer to your goal.
Constant self-control. If you are already using any methodology for the management of their affairs, then you do not already know about the benefits of weekly review of the hearsay. Scrum for one offers to do short reviews, and spend a few minutes every morning on an honest analysis of the situation. Find the problem and try to outline the ways in which they can be solved.
Define a clear short-term goal. Give yourself time and determine the goal you want to achieve. Often dampen long-term goals, and therefore it is better to divide into sub-goals.
Concentrate on one task. Since you're here alone, you are unlikely to 50 hours to dedicate one project, not interrupting anything. However, you can always select a block of time today and a piece of the day tomorrow, when you will not do nothing, not related to a specific project. Concentrate.
It seems it does not pull on a full time management system, but something interesting in it. In any case, try to ask yourself the question: "What prevents me?" When you get stuck in another task, and then find the answer to the question "What am I on this occasion I can do?".
