ZType - a hell of a mixture of a keyboard simulator and a space shooter

The dominance of simple-runners and hardcore puzzle games in the App Store have to be fed, so when I saw the game ZType, it immediately caught my attention. This minimalist space shooter with an unusual game mechanics, the concept of which makes it stand out among other indie games.

As you would expect in this kind of games, we have to survive. We have a small boat, equipped with a laser gun, and millions of light-years of space around. As always, but not quite. Above each ship of the enemy fleet displayed the word, and to destroy them you need to typing these very words. Each correctly typed letter - it's accurate shot. Is composed of the letters of the word, and the enemy ships explode like firecrackers New Year.

Perhaps, in words it sounds boring, but in fact the gameplay is very good. Pacified space complements the serenity stylized soundtrack. Smooth sailing boats flash systems like matches, sometimes words are added in fancy phrases and you plunge headlong into the process.

Our grammar fighter is equipped with not only the gun, but also a small set of bombs, the activation of which, ironically, is exactly in the place where there should be a backspace button. Exploding bomb creates a shockwave that literally erases the screen all the enemy ships.

The enemy will attack you in waves, the difficulty increases with each new wave - words become longer and catchy, but somewhere in the letters in the words are stretched to the seventh wave, and take them becomes even more difficult.

Russian language, of course, not only English, so use the game merely as a typing tutor will come. Although in this there is a plus: ZType helps to memorize English words that can be useful in the study of language. But even if you do not bother with all of this and just destroy the ships by typing characters on the keyboard, the game you can have fun.
