Recently iOS-port magnificent Knights of the Old Republic received the full support of the MFI-controllers and cloud preservation, which allow you to continue the game on the other device without losing progress (eg after an update iPad). Add to that the updated graphics and other improvements that KOTOR has received since its debut, making it one of the best action-RPG for the iOS platform. And this is not the only example of successful porting popular PC games that take on a second life just yet on iPad.
The performance of mobile devices, such as iPad, is growing and it has long been caught up with PC performance of previous years, and this makes it an excellent platform for the revival of the popular classics. For developers, this is undoubtedly a risk, but it seems to be worth it, because in the App Store very classic game come to us from a PC. However, there are still many PC-hits of the golden age, that just asks on iPad.

Grim Fandango
I do not understand why this classic hit has not yet been revived on iPad. Completely saturated with black humor, adventure, events that take place in the next world - this is not exactly on iOS, and the success of the epic creation of Tim Schafer, it would be guaranteed. Perhaps, with the adaptation of 3D-models for Retina-resolution and would have difficulties, but the game and so looks pretty good. I think it is unlikely someone refused even from the usual ports. So why not give it to us right now?
Syndicate / Syndicate Wars
Developers of modern games in cyber-punk themes, still draw inspiration from the Syndicate and its sequel Syndicate Wars. Format with an isometric projection of games is ideal for iPad and titles such as Syndicate would feel just fine here. To lead a detachment of killer cyborgs using swipe and zoom would be on the touch screen much more convenient, and relatively modest visual effects would not be a problem even for an old man iPad 2.
Theme Hospital
Theme Hospital by Bullfrog Productions has all chances to become a great game on iOS. This economic Simulator 1997 released Electronic Arts, which contains a fair share eccentric humor, is very simple to learn, worked deep enough and can tighten the player for a long time. There are a lot of details and nuances of all kinds relating to clinic management, recruitment and treatment of patients. In fact, it is the same Sims, only with the hectic and carbon monoxide humor. Very Zorov could see it on your iPad.
deus Ex
The emergence of a new Deus Ex, graphics level consoles, the Apple Store app only shows how easy it would be to port the original version on iPad. All aspects of management and interface - from the process of breaking and ending the movement of objects in the inventory - it would be easier to do on the touch screen. In the experience of KOTOR seen as increasing the resolution a good effect for the basic of 3D-models - Retina display picture looks just great.
Black & White
One of the most popular simulators god of all time - would perfectly fit iOS format. Even without adaptation Retina-resolution, the game is not lost its charm and look great on the iPad screen. Just imagine how convenient it would be to manage your subjects using the touch interface. In the PC version the cursor has the shape of a hand and is very symbolic: how fun it would be to the iPad punish naughty fellows, whisking them off the screen.

In the App Store there are many games and many of them are very high quality and delight us with great graphics and addictive gameplay. Yet, they do not compare to the good old games, stood at the origins of different genres. There is in them something for that we love them even now, some unique charm and zest. That's why I think it would be very cool, so that the developers have paid due attention to them: if you do not remake of the famous classic hits, at least just ports. It would be very pleased with all gamers with the experience, is not it?
Tell us about your favorite classic titles, dear readers. Which of the old PC games you want to see on the iPad?
