A lot of weapons, crowds of enemies, plot complication, attractive price, the lack of built-in purchases. Sounds great, right? Looking at the screenshots of Redeemer: Mayhem in the App Store, I without any hesitation spent one dollar and playing less than half an hour, was about to express his opinion on the project.
But first things first. The game meets us slightly eerie screen saver in the form of comics. According to the story, the protagonist tragically loses his soul mate and decides to embark on the path of war, hatred and revenge. With his uncommon courage and even tons automatic weapon he's going to deal with countless enemies.
The game has three missions, each of which has five levels. All the tests represent a shooting unfriendly thugs who, by the way, armed not worse than our main avenger. The enemy is attacking only the waves, increasing their power. Help our hero to have a variety of items that can be collected, running game locations: first aid kits, modifications to weapons or tubes with some substance. Get enough of the latter, the character goes into rampage mode and receives a special attack bonuses and opportunities.
In words, everything is perfect, but in practice become apparent disadvantages Redeemer: Mayhem. I'll start with management. It is carried out by means of two virtual sticks. Left is only responsible for the movement, and the right - for aiming and shooting. Personally, I seemed such an implementation is not the best.
Next I would like to note the behavior of opponents at some levels. I'm used to that in games aimed at combating the consistent and growing waves of enemies to relax almost not necessary, because the units with the opposing party is literally crawling everywhere. But Redeemer: Mayhem I sometimes had to search the entire map of the armed thugs of the teeth.
A little touch and the graphic part. No, here it is implemented properly. But on some textures game creators obviously forgotten work. Looking at this, it seems that you have in your hands is not a modern iPad Air, and some of the first generation Galaxy Tab.
Small details often decide a lot, if not everything. In this particular case, it is the little things played not in favor of the Redeemer: Mayhem. Add special effects to the game developers juicier, more heart-rending cries of the wounded enemies, different aiming mode - the game would have looked very different.
