Each of us uses varying meteorological service to find out what actually will need to take with them to the country and whether or not to go there at all. At the same time, I do not know about you, but I'm rarely satisfied with the quality of forecasts. Because remember-ka signs of our ancestors, and we add the latest scientific knowledge in order to provide themselves with a forecast even where the meteorological service are not available.
Cirrus clouds over Bridge "Golden Gate", Wikipedia.
To predict the need to take several steps, the first of which should be to identify the type of clouds. At present, in appearance the following types of clouds (starting with the highest):
- pinnate (cirrus),
- cumulus (cumulus),
- laminates (stratus),
- rain (nimbus).
Their names speak for themselves, so I will only add information. Cirrus located at a height of 5 to 14 km and therefore consist essentially of crystals of ice, rain as there are already hundreds of meters from the ground and thus contain almost exclusively water.
With decreasing altitude clouds are moving from type to type, according to the list above, with the lowest, rain clouds, the darkest, as the delays are most of the world.
Simply put, the higher the clouds and scattered clouds, and that you may already be identified by their type, the more good (sunny and dry) weather awaits us. You observe the movement of the clouds and if it is almost non-existent - the weather changes in the near future should not be expected. However, the very existence of a large number of high clouds can reflect the fact that the weather can change in a day or two. If the clouds move much - it indicates that the weather changes in the offing. Low and thick clouds almost certainly promise rain today, but the low light but a heap of cotton - not portend bad weather, but you still need to keep an eye on, and if they are going in a heap and do not darken if your trouble.
