Tips from our readers: how to move the date of birthdays of your contacts from Microsoft Outlook to Google Calendar

To work with Google Calendar online calendar can be used as a calendar interface itself, and transfer it into Microsoft Outlook, as we wrote a bit earlier. However, if you decide to move from Outlook to an online calendar from Google, then you are waiting for some unpleasant "rake". The fact is that at the moment works fine to transfer all the data of your calendar from Outlook by exporting to a CSV file, but it can not move repeating events, and birthdays of your contacts that you have made in their card.
Our reader, Roman Isaev, sent a simple script which author he is. The script allows you to "pull" in a separate ICS-file birthdays of your contacts and import them into google Calendar.
Download the script and run it from your local computer.
After the script will create the file «contactsBirthday.ics» in the root of drive C: \.
Then go to Google Calendar and there by downloading interface part, above the list of your calendars, click on the «Add» and select in the «Import Calendar» drop-down menu ...
... and specify the location of the generated script file.
So in your selected calendars will be saved annually recurring birthdays of your contacts from Microsoft Outlook. Here is an example of how it will look this event on your calendar:
