summer hits
We have included in the playlist songs included in the collection of relevant Pitchfork, NME, Shazam, The Wrap and The Fader. Most frequently in lists of these publications met various collaborations with Justin Bieber, Drake tracks, Kendrick Lamar, and Lorde. Not all of them have been released in recent months - hits of the summer have become expected and some spring releases. We, in turn, decided to talk about the three different albums that have come out recently.
Lana Del Rey - Lust For Life
At first glance, the fifth album by American singer did not seem to be something radically new: the same dramatic dream pop, recognizable voice and air musical landscapes. The first impression, however, is deceptive: many critics argue that this record Lizzy Grant deliberately moved away from an artificially created image of a modern pop diva and showed himself sincere and real. Part of this statement arose from the appearance in the lyrics of the singer social issues, in particular the theme of global political conflicts.
The album is rich in collaborative composition with renowned musicians: The Weeknd, A $ Ap Rocky, Stevie Nicks, Sean Lennon. On Lust For Life can be heard drawing from different genres: Trap-bits, the classic rock theme, orchestral inserts and even hints of hip-hop flow in the performance of Lana. All this does not dull the album, but not oversaturated.
Phoenix - Ti Amo
French sixth album from Phoenix should listen until the sun last hot days of autumn are not hidden behind the clouds. Music Ti Amo - a real Italo-disco, but with a splash of modern electropop. Lyrics performed in different languages, but the topics covered are clear to everyone and without translation. Music Phoenix - the feelings of love, desire, lust and innocence.
This album would be desirable to compare the music of popular singers, and the second will almost always lose. Jobs Phoenix like Daft Punk, only nezaezzhennoy. Indie-pop, but it's not clichéd. As retroveyv, but with a bundle of innovative solutions.
alt-J - Relaxer
The third album of the British trio of alt-J obeys on one breath not only because of relatively short duration of the compositions, but also their diversity. Here is an interpretation of the folk song House of the Rising Sun, that someone just did not perform, experimental electro-composition Deadcrush, which critics found the influence of Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails, and in one of the songs used almost toy synthesizer Casiotone, acquired for pennies on musicians eBay. The album title Relaxer is absolutely justified, and it is interesting to listen to both the focus and the background.
