Five bright releases of the month

Pharaoh - Phuneral

This album is well audible, as Pharaoh trying to grow professionally and even harder to push and so blurry designated frame. On Phuneral have unexpected feats and timid experiments with garage rock, singing in English. Although the main Smart benger written by long-proven pattern: catchy vocal hook, strange words and rocking chorus with a barrel of TR-808. But I want to believe that more - more. In my opinion, to create a historical album all the cards are in the hands of Pharaoh.

Interpol - Marauder

This is the first four years of full-length album Interpol. Something really cool in their discography was not much longer, but the early release of the band secured a credit of trust that the Marauder was still for many a welcome. Unfortunately, this is not something again.

Once Interpol showed a fresh take on the classic post-punk - it was interesting, and the echoes of that influence are heard and are still in the works of many other artists. In 2018 in this genre is nothing special to look out for, and Marauder - the best demonstration of the fact. But we still have written about this album, because a couple of great songs out there still there: The Rover, and Number 10, published as promosingle.

Dakooka - Form

The new mini-album, Ukrainian singer Katie daquq - five strong pop hits with catchy choruses and not the usual sound. Naive lyrics about feelings is combined with older sound solutions that are daquq, for example, from the same moon, not departing far from the mood of melancholy disco 90s.

The new mini-album, one should not expect the severity of the previous full-length "hero". "Form" - an attempt to make lightweight pop album in a short time. The singer admitted that the work took her a couple of weeks on it. It turned out cool and dance.

Eminem - Kamikaze

Released suddenly and without warning a full-length album, The Marshall Mathers - thing discussed, it seems, everything. Even those who are familiar only with the early works of Eminem and do not know that this is his second album, which was released during the year.

The fact that this album will be significant, there are doubts, but to listen to him still stands. It's Eminem. And this is enough to negate any attempt to evaluate objectively release. Opinions polar, nothing radically new in the album there. But this is exactly the same Eminem - wit with a clear position, an experienced rapper with excellent technique and an adult poet with lyrics that some more time will decode and discuss.

Her's - Invitation To Her's

Her debut album, Liverpool's group - is 11 light, melodic and superromantichnyh pop songs. This dream pop healthy person: lightness and dreaminess in place, but the music is not boring - for most of the songs you can dance. The kind of music I want to compare with the work of Ariel Pink and Mac DeMarco, but I think in some ways they are even Her's passes.

This release at the end of the list is no accident - we wanted to complete the selection of bright, life-affirming, but a bit sad note. Still, the summer was over yesterday.
