A vulnerability in iOS allows malicious applications disguised as normal programs

A new vulnerability in iOS, discovered by specialists FireEye, allows attackers to install malicious applications on the device, disguised as ordinary safety programs.

Such a method of gaining access to the iOS-device called Masque Attack and opened FireEye experts on July 26th. The vulnerability is present on all iOS versions starting from 7.1.1 and ending with the recent iOS 8.1.1 beta 1.
Method of dealing with Masque Attack is very simple - do not install any application from any sources other than the App Store, even if the offer is very, very tempting.
