The excuse: "I do not read, because I do not have time for it" is no longer held. Blinkist - is a service, whose team of editors picks the most interesting books and makes them extract the most useful information. After that, they turn to a brief article (read 5-10 minutes) going wild with a number of useful information per square centimeter.
Blinkist exists as the web version, and in the form of applications for the iPhone and iPad, and we look at them below.
In Blinkist a lot of books. On the main page 3 tabs: the new revenue, categories and curated. The last tab contains a selection excerpts sorted on interesting topics.
Each book is very interesting. The service is very careful approach to the selection, so there are only the best and most useful books. It is said that many of them after reading the synopsis, I want to read and fully.
Each book is divided into chapters, and each of them there is a brief description of what you will find inside. On average, each book has from 8 to 12 chapters. read interface contains nothing superfluous, and the settings you can change the font size, the brightness of the screen, and change the subject light to the dark, and vice versa. Downstairs there is a handy progress bar that shows how much you have already read.
Highlights - This tab, which you can save your favorite quotes and thoughts of the author. I used to save them to Evernote, so I have it empty.
Read Blinkist the web version as nice as on the iPhone. On the main page, there is nothing superfluous: only the books you've added to my library with a brief description for each of them.
read interface is not very different from that in the application. The simple design, the almost complete absence of any element and the ability to customize the display of text.
Finally, the bad news for those who think that everything is free. Unfortunately not. Blinkist gives a free three-day period during which you can enjoy all its charms, and then ask you to purchase a subscription, which costs $ 8 a month. If you buy it once for six months or a year, you can save, and decent.
However StackSocial go around three-month subscription to Blinkist. All you need to do is sign up with Facebook and get the desired code. Because of this action, and I started to use the service, and I want to say that at the end of a three-month period, probably will pay for a subscription.
Blinkist not a substitute for reading the full book, not at all. But in addition to the usual books, you will have access to an incredibly useful information on treatments that you can spend just a few minutes instead of several hours.
