Every time you need to view any page on the Web, your browser sends a request to the appropriate server, and then loads the desired content. If the connection to the network is currently offline, you will see a message about the impossibility of displaying this page. The most offensive, that it occurs even when you try to view the page that you have already visited, and the entire contents of which is cached on the hard drive. However, there is an opportunity to teach the Google Chrome browser to extract the content and properly display pages even without a network connection.
To activate this option, you will need to open a page with the experimental browser settings. To do this, type in the address bar chrome: // flags / and press enter. Then find and activate the option called "Show button to download a local copy of the inactive." Restart your browser.
Now, when you want to view offline in one of the previously visited pages, you will see the standard notification about the impossibility of its load, and a new button next to "Open a saved copy." When pressed, it will be downloaded a copy of the existing stored on the hard drive during the previous visit to the site.
Typically, the local copy is not too different from the original, as the Google Chrome cache HTML, images, JavaScript, and CSS. However, if the page has a complicated structure, embedded video or other multimedia content, it is, of course, will not be shown.
This function is useful to all users who have an unstable connection to the network or are forced to work offline periodically. Now you can always load a page that has already been opened before, and to read an article, regardless of the availability of a network connection.
