Mozilla's Firefox browser continues to equip the new useful features. More recently, there appeared mode and a reading list, and will soon have to add a fun way to manage tabs titled SnoozeTabs. In this article you will learn how to start using this feature now.
You probably know that there are several Firefox update channels. Usually all experimental new features in the first place appear in the nightly builds, then move in beta and only then enter the stable release. But that Mozilla was not enough, and 25 July was the start of the project Idea Town, Which aims to accelerate the development of the browser. Its essence lies in the fact that the new features are planned to be in Firefox, will first be presented in the form of individual extensions. Thus users will be able to try them in action, and developers will have a greater number of reviews.
The first extension, submitted under Idea Town, was SnoozeTabs. You can download it on this page. This extension provides the ability to postpone work with target tab for some time to open them just when it is needed.
After installing SnoozeTabs new button will appear in your browser, when clicked, opens a pop-up window. In it you will find stylish icons that let you select the next occurrence of the currently open page:
- Later Today - after a few hours.
- Tonight - tab will appear in seven in the evening.
- Tomorrow - the tab appears on the next day.
- This Weekend - The tab is scheduled for Saturday.
- Next Week - a week later.
- Next Month - a month.
- Rainy Day - this page will make itself felt in six months.
- Pick a Date - This function is not available at this time, do not press.
- When I'm Free - tab will emerge no less than 20 minutes and only if you have opened Reddit or Facebook type sites.
When you press one of these buttons, the page viewed is closed, and the record of it appears in the SnoozeTabs. View these records can, if necessary, by pressing the button Manage Snoozes. The Firefox bookmarks directory, where you can find a deferred tab in the "Tags". While you can only remove unwanted entry, but soon the developers promise to add the ability to remap and opening time.
In general, the function of deferred opening tabs struck me as quite interesting and quite worthy of inclusion in the default set of Firefox. It allows you to unload a large number of browser tabs at the same time does not clutter up favorite single batch. We remind you that there is a Chrome browser extension like, about which we are told here.
