Sensational news! Today, the US Patent and Trademark Office issued a protection document, describing "a device to be worn on the wrist." This device is called iTime, but the document itself is dated 2011.
Attached to the patent image much like the past rumors an iWatch. The device just has a bit of an elongated rectangular screen, except that it is not curved, but it is excusable for such documents.
According to the security paper, iTime resembles an advanced version of the iPod, equipped with GPS, cellular module, accelerometer and gesture control.
Like Android Wear, Emphasis "wearable" is made to interact with a third party "mobile electronic device." However, this does not exclude the possibility of independent work.
Full functionality is not disclosed, but iTime will support the "storage and playback of media files" (What do you think it means?). The bulk of the features still to be available only in conjunction with mobile devices.
Like so many others, are now available on the market "smart watches", the main unit will be separated from the strap. It must be assumed, this is done to extend the iTime service and simply for aesthetic purposes.
Despite all of the above, the project could undergo significant changes over the years. But, even in that case, the patent - the most convincing evidence that Apple has long interested in the sphere of wearable electronics. Consequently, this autumn we will get not aby what, but really high-quality and interesting product.
It seems to us, Tim Cook an ulterior motive is very fond of saying:
"No matter who is the first to release the device. What is important is the one who will do his best on the market "
