A few days ago the beta version of iOS 5 is now available for developers. Over the past already short time, hackers had from DevTeam realize tethered jailbreak the new version of the mobile OS. In addition, it appears that the code iOS 5 contains information about two future models iPad - iPad 3.1 and iPad 3.2. It is known that the current iPad 2 is held in the case, precisely, is encrypted in iOS code as iPad 2.1 (Wi-Fi model), iPad 2.2 (GSM-version) and iPad 2.3 (CDMA-model). So it is necessary to assume that the iPad 3 is just the next version of the tablet.
Separation iPad 3 variations of 3.1 and 3.2 means that Apple is preparing a tablet that supports the most widespread mobile standards, and Wi-Fi model.
In the same iOS 5 code referred to iPhone 4.1 and iPhone 4.2 - these are two models of the iPhone 5, which is, however, the fourth generation of Apple's device. (Recall that the iPhone 3G belonged to the first generation from a technical point of view.)
Interestingly, the mention of the iPod touch is not in the code. This could mean that the company has no plans in the near future to update the player. The traditional September event will be mainly dedicated to exactly the iPhone 5.
Also, do not expect with absolute certainty the release of all the above code in iOS devices. It happens that some of them did not go on sale, or come late. So, iPhone 3.3 came out only a year after it appeared the information about it in the form of CDMA-model iPhone 4. On the other hand, iPhone 3.2 and does not see the light. The same applies to the iPad 3: iPad 2 release since passed recently, the next generation tablet is expected only in 2012. [via TUAW]
