Windows 8 is approaching the official start of sales, and many developers have been slow to show versions of their products, adapted to the coming OS. That marked the release of Mozilla preview release of its browser for Windows 8 called Firefox Metro.
According to the developers themselves, the new Firefox was written from the ground up and now includes most of the basic functions of the browser. Despite the possible confusion about the name, Firefox Metro is designed for work in the new interface of Windows 8, and the usual "the desktop" style.
The main emphasis in the development of Firefox Metro has been designed for maximum adaptation to new opportunities eights. This includes better support for touch screens, gestures, data transfer between Metro apps and quickly switch between classic and new interfaces.
The most noticeable flaws in the current version is the lack of initial support Flash, and inability to install add-ons.
