Today, ABBYY releases an updated version of FineReader Pro for Mac, software for text recognition. With it you can convert images of documents and any types of PDF-files into editable electronic formats and retype text. Updated FineReader got another useful function: the program is now able to automatically recognize and convert documents.
This is made possible thanks to the support of built-in OS X software Automator and scripting language AppleScript. For example, if you need to regularly convert incoming documents or packages of documents from PDF to Microsoft Word and store them in the correct directory, or to automatically recognize by the screenshots, it is not necessary each time to open ABBYYFineReader.
The program will run automatically at a specified time or at regular intervals, it is sufficient only once to set up the necessary task in Automator. The user can also create a simple application and run them manually by dragging them into documents.
Detailed information about the program and all its features and system requirements is available at
website. FineReader updated with support for automatic recognition of the documents is available for download in the Mac App Store.
