Comfortable, stylish, functional - not without glitches, but there was much that the designers did not have enough tools in the normal OS X. And about a month ago, the creators Fontcase «pleased» its users, saying more work on the program will not, but we really want to see from Fontcase up new, more cool and useful project. That's what they did.

Unlike other third-party font managers (including the defunct Fontcase), Fonts functionality decided to simplify to the extreme. For example, the program does not create any "their" folders, and working with system directories directly. It allows you to create font collections and work with virtually any Mac program. I had thought that Fonts can be immediately replaced by a full-time utility "Fonts", leaving me somewhat broader instrument... but alas.

In my opinion, the most important disadvantage of Fonts is that she can not deactivate fonts that are temporarily not needed. The program even displays a headset, which have been turned off by the utility "Fonts."

In a sense, this disadvantage would compensate the appropriate plug-in for quick view function OS X. Indeed, many designers fill their collection of different headsets and immediately disable them, so that when necessary, could consider them thoroughly, but do not load the system with unnecessary at this point font. Fonts Developers also decided that neither one nor the other designers accustomed to working with dozens of different typefaces, it is not necessary.

Fonts are also almost totally devoid of even basic cataloging tool - tag. Support "Smart Collections", respectively, are not. The program can only add simple folders, which are displayed in the form and "Smart Collections", created in the "Font".

In short, Fonts can not practically nothing, and without deactivating the function to treat it as a substitute for manning a font manager, unfortunately, can not. However, not everything is so bad and hopeless.

In more detail the selected font can be considered in the area on the right side.
