Apple TV will become a hub for managing smart home

In the just published technical documentation Apple has officially confirmed the fact of using Apple TV set-top box as a the main unit to manage all things connected to HomeKit.

The document also states that manage smart appliances will be using Siri from any iOS-devices with iOS 8.1 or later. Apple TV (third generation and later) is used as a link between the accessories and your smartphone or tablet.

Thanks to this arrangement, interaction, users will have access to any connected to the subject HomeKitEven if they are away from home. To do this, you need only to log on iOS and Apple TV under a single Apple ID. Thus, coming back home, you can ask Siri to do some things in advance, for example, include an electric kettle.

You have to use a separate application from its creators continue for each of the smart accessory App Store, but now all the action will be combined with one protocol and the integrated voice-assistant iOS.
