2nd Pilot: Virtual Assistant in your car

If you do not so long ago passed on the right and got behind the wheel, chances are you know the feeling of discomfort from what is now in the car you are alone. Instructor who tells the right time, no, so you have to "get out" himself. Include music or the radio on the radio - not a good idea, as this can distract attention away from the road and the environment on it. What to do? Apparently, a similar question set and developers 2nd Pilot application (Second Pilot), which will be discussed.
The co-pilot - is an application that, guided by GPS, will tell about the various traffic events. Altogether there are about 12 pieces, which include speed cameras, speed bumps, traffic police posts, holes in the road, accidents and the like "ambush."
At the right moment, the application will display information on the screen about what is happening on the route, and will duplicate her voice. In addition, in the Second Pilot integrated some social features that will help you not get lost in the traffic situation. For example, the user may vote "Like" or "dizlaykom" for the relevance of the information. The application states: "in front of the ambush on the patrol car" - you pass the place and you can see that, indeed, hiding in the bushes law enforcement officers - thumbs up. Left - respectively, down. All this information will help other road users, which at the display of the smartphone or tablet will be able to see the trend of the approaching meeting with one or another "ambush."
Next to the voting buttons will see a green up arrow - hence the recent users confirm the presence of one of the twelve events. If instead there is a red arrow down - the opposite is true: the road event, probably already has no place to be.
In addition, the application of course monitors your speed, and when it is exceeded, report it. There are two modes of speed control: city and highway. For each of them their limit, but switching between them, unfortunately, have to manually, because our "The co-pilot" does not have the built-in map service, and therefore does not know you are eating in the city or turned on highway.
The application itself is, of course, able to work in the background, so you can use it in conjunction with other, for example, navigators. I recall that the use of GPS quickly consumes battery, and therefore, upon reaching the destination, it is better to turn it off. To do this, Second Pilot even has a separate button "Exit", which itself closes the application. Do not forget to use it when the application you no longer need.
In addition, if you value Internet traffic, it is possible to manually update the database, for example, through a home Wi-Fi. Although, in truth, the update takes less than a megabyte, so it is unlikely someone will need so much himself to infringe. Nevertheless, there is an opportunity - and that's good. During the trip, if you have not updated the database manually, Second Pilot will do it himself, displaying process on the main screen.
The only drawback that I found - the application is too quiet. That is, in a moving car it is almost inaudible. This is very inconvenient, because every time to look at the display of the gadget - not the best solution. So I advise you to listen to it through the headset.
And most importantly, no application will not help you if you rely only on him. Do not forget to observe the traffic rules in time to give signals to other participants of the flow, look at mirror and control the speed of movement of the speedometer of the car - and then you will not have extra problems.
What do you use in your car? Or all of these applications only distract from the road? Tell us about it in the comments!
