Rethinking the classics in Sherlock: Interactive Adventure

Sherlock Holmes - one of the most popular characters created by Arthur Conan Doyle, has been for almost 130 years. During this time the London detective was able to move from the pages of novels to movies, games and TV shows. And every time Sherlock appeared before the audience or readers in a new way. Now it's time to rethink the "literary" detective of the image in a new application Sherlock: Interactive Adventure.

If you look at the name, the first thing it seems that this is some kind of game. Then why am I called her application? It's very simple: in this case, both definitions may well come up. New Sherlock for iOS - an interactive book, which you can follow the story not only reading the text, but also exploring described in the present environment.

Adventure itself looks like a picture book, but instead of pictures before our eyes appear qualitatively made animated characters and objects. Virtually every such "illustration" we can interact with the environment: find hidden objects, clues, dossiers on the characters and so on. This approach makes the re-look at the work of the famous author, and the more deeply feel the atmosphere of old London.

In addition to text, available for independent reading, the book is provided and audio playback. All text is fully voiced by actor Stanislav Kontsevich whose voice you can hear in various films, TV shows, and audiobooks. Voiced, I must say, great. Recalling his constant complaints to the dubbing TV shows and games, I can safely say that in this work sound all who participated came from the soul.

At the moment, for "investigation" is available for the book "The Red-Headed League" - the second work of Conan Doyle's series of books about Sherlock Holmes, published in 1891. Unfortunately, this is so far the only ready-made interactive entertainment for iOS. Nevertheless, the developers promise not to stop there and continue to delight readers (listeners? viewers? players?) new interactive works by the author.

However, I believe that here and not think about anything - 99 rubles for a classic, well-voiced, with interactive elements and changing from the soundtrack to the action action - quite loyal to price, considering how many resources would be directed to development. Definitely, Sherlock: Interactive Adventure - yet one of the most interesting applications in the App Store, by which I would not advise to pass by.
