IN OS X 10.10.3 Apple has finally integrated a long-awaited application "Photo". It will replace outdated, according to Apple, iPhoto, and Aperture software for viewing and managing photos on a Mac. Today published the final version of OS X 10.10.3, and we want to share impressions from its use.
When you first start, the app immediately offer import iPhoto library and the library include iCloud, so no problems with the transition to the "Photo" should not be.
Many are crying crocodile tears about iPhoto, and us, to be honest, it is difficult to understand them. "Photo" on the structure and logic is much simpler and clearer iPhoto - largely due to the fact that all of us have long had to test a mobile application.
Separation of shots on the year, and collection points has become customary. In iPhoto principle it was different - pictures grouped together on the "Events", "Photos", "Faces" and "Places". Of course, in iPhoto it was temporary and tape images, but in the "Photo" it is implemented much more convenient.
With regard to the editing facilities, they coincide with the mobile application. Apple deliberately took this step, abandoning many of the features that most ordinary people do not need. If you need professional treatment, you certainly have long used Photoshop and Lightroom. If not - it's time to do it, because Aperture sink into oblivion as well as iPhoto.
In the "Photo" moved iPhoto ability to create photo slideshows, cards, calendars and more. However, most of these features are not available to us and have been made with a focus on the United States. But nothing prevents to create beautiful slideshows and convenient Smart Album with the specified parameters.
In general, the application "Photo" we liked it. Apple has decided to not only change the design, but also to simplify the structure of its Photoprogram. Of course, because of this, it has lost a lot of functions, however, as we said above, this will not be a big problem. The main thing is to correctly position the "Photo" and not expect from her professional chips.
Apple did not want to create a complete replacement for iPhoto and Aperture - instead she made a simple and intuitive tool for viewing and basic image processing
In the first place, "Photo" - a convenient fotoorganayzer, processing functions are secondary. And we are confident that the vast majority of users will be enough. Especially with their responsibilities the program deals with a bang. This is facilitated by intuitive interface, modern flat design and a simplified structure.
