Steve Jobs dancing to my song!

Today you have a simple video blogger with a small number of views and your biggest fans - my mother and grandmother, and tomorrow - for your song dances Apple CEO. Is it possible? Famous American singer-songwriter Jonathan Mann did not believe, until it happened to him yourself! Its history it shared the site Medium.
When I started the project Song A Day in 2009, I actually sat out of work. I sometimes spelled review songs on video games, earned freelancing, but nothing is certain at the time was not.
After two months on the project, I found the site OnlineVideoContests.com - every week there are thousands of different competitions were held video clips on absolutely any topic. I decided to try his fate and took part in a new competition every day. A new day - a new song and a new competition. I was winning about 1 in 6 has received a lot of money, and was pleased with himself.
One day, I took part in the competition for the jingle (approx. aut. vocal performance of a slogan or a brand name in radio or television advertising) for, at that time, newly emerging search engine Bing from Microsoft. The contest was simple - Propoi slogan, remove it on video and win gift American Express card for $ 500. Money is not big, but the contest is nearing completion and the winner had to choose a judge, rather than users. I liked it and I thought, and took
published your videos to just 2 hours. A new day - a new competition.A week later, I find out that I won. On the one hand, I was surprised, because I thought that my song and video - sucks. On the other hand, my closest rival was a man who was just looking at the camera and sang "You've got it bingnut" (eng. "You've got to Bing it Bing it").
And after a few days of each threw me a link to TechCrunch - MJ Sigler, a prominent author in the field of technologies, has published an article with the pejorative title "Bing managed to find the most disgusting jingle in stories".
Now I'm used to the fact that the Internet is often put me up to ridicule. With my kind of activity - it is inevitable. The best way out - just ignore such comments. But then the case was quite different. TechCrunch - so well-known site, and MJ - respected author. I decided that this simply can not be left unanswered I wrote a song about itRidicules what he wrote about me.
I put a song in the network and sent to him personally. A few minutes later my record was on TechCrunch. Oddly enough, she liked MJ! This led to the strange relationship between me and TechCrunch - I became something of an unofficial songwriter. Every time I wrote on the subject of technology, I sent this MJ and he published my work. One day, I learned that even the founder of TechCrunch, Michael Arrington, put my song on your mobile call!
So, come 2010. I realized that I missed a lot of video contests and was a bit depressed. On the day before Apple's press conference on the controversial antenna of the iPhone 4. The people were so seriously set against Apple, I decided to write a song in support of the company. I was hoping that MJ will publish it, and I'll get the money for the views. I dedicated the song 2:00, I posted a video, Sent MJ link and calmly went to sleep.
On the morning of my mail was torn from the outside. The sender of one of the letters was listed Apple. I read it and thought it was just a prank. While I was in the shower, my phone rang. It was a PR-manager of Apple. Pinch me, for God's sake! He wondered if they could use my video to open the conference? Hmm, perhaps, yes. How do I send it for you? Wow.
That day I watched an online broadcast of both the video and the song, which I did in 3 hours, playing in front of a full audience of journalists at the headquarters of Apple. Then, Steve Jobs took the stage and said: "We found this song on YouTube this morning and could not help but share it with you." It was one of the most fantastic moments in my life. Later, I learned that before you go on stage, Steve danced to my song behind the scenes. Look, when the music ends, he goes to the public dancing!
A few days after this event, I was asked to write Happy Birthday for Steve Wozniak. I was invited to his 60th birthday, where he met with the co-founder of TEDMED, who hired me to write a song for the day of birth of the founder of the TED, Richard Saul Wurm. The following year I was invited TEDMED to speak at their conferences. I began to meet people, to participate in meetings and conferences and, importantly, much better earning.
When I look back, to look at the way that I went through - from unemployment and Song A Day to video contest, then Bing, TechCrunch, Steve Jobs, Wozniak, TEDMED and finally what I'm doing now - it's... awesome!
And all this, thanks to the infinite possibilities to create and distribute their music on the internet!
