IPhone users are usually quite skeptical about the strength of its technology. It is no secret that in 9 out of 10 cases of iPhone screen is broken after falling from a height of one meter, and the smartphone can bend the arms. Nevertheless, one of the American students of the University of California iPhone saved lives.
According to information from the police report, the armed criminal has managed to sneak into one of the student apartments on campus. Seeing the student (victim's name has not been disclosed), the attacker wins Man bag and shot him in the leg (apparently, in the hip area), and then disappeared.
A neighbor who heard the shot, ran to help, but saw only a ripped jeans and injured smartphone. The photo shows that the iPhone is disabled: the screen is broken and all the "hardware" inside. The student himself is not affected, except for minor injuries and shock.
It is obvious that the smartphone could stop a bullet from the small caliber. When fired from a serious weapon on the iPhone simply nothing would be left. By the way, this is not the first story, when the smartphone Apple helps people escape when shots from a small-caliber weapons. Like it or not, a piece of metal might abruptly turn the situation and save lives.
