Built-in Apple Mail mailer quite copes with its responsibilities and provides access to a variety of functions. However, people tend to always strive for excellence, and some users are constantly trying different tools, or simultaneously use several. Recently we told you about the best email client for Mac and referred to the Mail Pilot, who at that time was in beta testing. A few days ago held a public release and now Mail Pilot is available in Mac App Store.

Mail Pilot is the email application designed primarily for the control lists and their organization. The developers have positioned Mail Pilot as a tool that will help you reach inbox zero. Mac-version of Mail Pilot can be used as a standalone application or in conjunction iOS-version. Both versions, by the way, are quite impressive - $ 10 each. Following the GTD philosophy, Mail Pilot offers right to make decisions on entering and current tasks. With its convenient interface and interaction mechanism, do it all very easy.
Concept
Immediately after the initial setup Mail Pilot will download all your mail and present in the form of a tape with empty mug indicators next to each message. This approach will allow you to quickly see which tasks require your response and further action. Using keyboard shortcuts will greatly facilitate the workflow: You can easily determine which messages you want to see, how you need to come back later, and which move to a specific folder or file.
Interface
Making Mail Pilot is very minimalist and clean, it allows you to concentrate solely on the processing of your application. To some it may seem faded and tatty (especially for users Airmail), but I think it's the right decision, so much more convenient.
Capabilities
Also, among the functions Mail Pilot has support for lists and folders. Lists - very convenient for any small problems and short-term projects. Folders, on the contrary will be useful for storing materials relating to large and long-term projects. If desired, you can set a reminder for the letters that you want to come back later. Another interesting feature is Mail Pilot, it Set Aside - to set them aside. You can use it to postpone non-urgent problem (will be displayed on a separate tab), so they do not hinder the achievement of inbox zero.
Accounts
Mail Pilot works with any IMAP-traditional accounts, providing secure synchronization with the server and other clients. Here is the complete The list of supported services:
- Gmail
- iCloud
- Yahoo!
- AOL
- Rackspace
- Outlook.com
- google Apps
iOS-version
iOS-version of Mail Pilot succumbed to harsh criticism from users. Numerous bugs are not allowed to make the same impression as a version for the Mac, which is really good. For this reason, the developers decided not to update port Mail Pilot with OS X, along completely rewrite it from scratch. Therefore, in the near future we will see Mail Pilot 2 for the iPhone and iPad. Looking at the Mac-version of the application can be expected that the Mail Pilot for iOS will be a worthy alternative to the same Mailbox cmdlet, which has a lot of popularity.

Given the number of functions and their good implementation Mail Pilot is quite decent email app, designed to work with task lists. The only question is whether you are ready for him to part with ten dollars;)
