Tictoc - Click-to-Run. Accounting for time without frills
Makradar Technologies / / December 19, 2019
In contrast to the majority of applications for time, the so-called time-tracking, TicToc stands out for its minimalism. This desire is reflected not only in the shell of the program, but it has become the main idea, and even dignity.
The first thing you should do before buying Tictoc, read the description of the application in the AppStore. Feature list immediately intriguing. In the pros, the first three lines are listed the functions that are not supported. Like this!
Not supported by accounting clients that do not support the project, and does not contribute to Tictoc spending time on task management. A fresh approach from the developers.
Let us turn to what is left in Tictoc to work. The application itself is located in the menu bar in the form of a nice dial. Tasks are added to the usual plus. Counter is started by pressing the bulb. Fortunately, the time shown in hh: mm format, no distracting the running seconds here.
If the work has already begun, and the tracking is not running in Tictoc it is possible to estimate unaccounted time and add minutes or hours to the already discounted. This possibility is hiding behind the list arrow.
The time spent on projects that can be exported to accounting applications and web-services in CSV and XML formats. The same CSV without problems opens in Numbers or Microsoft Excel. The results of my treginga in iWork can be seen below.
Of the minuses can not Tictoc not mention a list of inconvenience. So the task for which there is a time tracking is currently in the same position where it was before the launch. If there are two or three tasks is essential, but when the list grows to ten or more, need to scroll. Sort the list would not be superfluous. The downside can be considered and the absence of the ability to run several tasks at once, but from already a departure from the principles of minimalism in everything.
Tictoc application quality at a reasonable price is only focused on one task - time tracking. The app does not require getting used to cost, this solution is one of those "click and play!"
Interesting Facts: developers Tictoc Harold Emsheymera and Jonathan Younger for two 7 children.
