This simple tip will inetersen lovers watch over load system, for example, how loaded CPU. You can do this without having to install third-party applications and widgets. It is enough to use one of the little-known utility functions "Monitoring system» (Activity Monitor), which is part of OS X. This allows you to quickly and easily estimate the CPU load, network statistics, disk activity, and memory load, throwing a quick glance looking in Doc. Setting this function only takes a few seconds:
- Open the application "Monitoring System" (usually located in / Applications / Utilities / System Monitoring)
- Make Ctrl + click on the application icon in the Dock
- Go to 'Show at the dock »(Dock Icon), where you will discover several options for system monitors to display icons instead, I chose the CPU usage
That's all! It works, but only when running the application, but its main window can be closed, with the result that we get a simple CPU monitor in the Dock.
Finally I recommend a look at the tab "Monitor" - the same status monitor can be displayed in separate windows.
