RSSBandit - a great client for ordinary people

To start viewing news in RSS format has now become for many a mandatory ritual, not only in the morning with a cup of coffee, but also throughout the day. Therefore, an urgent need to select a good tool for everyday use. Without going into comparisons with online competitors would like to draw attention to the desktop-version of such a program with the straightforward title RSSBandit (Open-source), that works in any version of Windows - from 95 to 2003 (it requires .NET Framework 1.1).

The undoubted advantage is not only localized into many languages, including Russian, but also trouble-free operation with feeds in a variety of encodings. The program interface is very similar to the standard solution of MS Office 2003, so most casual users will understand the settings easily.

RSSBandit understands all common formats of news feeds can even use, manage your subscription and send NNTP server for news posts, officially support Google and the Groups, as well as synchronize data viewing / reading with the service Newsgator Online (sorry, there is no integration with Google Reader). And that's not all - you can synchronize your subscription and via WebDAV, and through FTP, and conventional zip-archives.

The program can automatically find RSS-feeds on that page, provides an opportunity to immediately comment on the news (via CommentAPI) and browse the Web page in the built browser. For particularly sensitive news are allowed to use the password protection and HTTPS / SSL access.
