How to cook pea soup: 5 interesting recipes

These delicious and nourishing soup will warm you in any weather. Just add to the peas fragrant spices, smoked ribs, bacon, meatballs and mushrooms.
1. Pea soup with bacon
Ingredients
- 250 g of pea;

- 50 g butter;

Onions and carrots clean. Chop the onion, carrot rub on a small grater. Melt in a pan of butter and fry the vegetables on it. Add them to the peas for 15 minutes before it is ready.

Bacon chop, fry in a pan, add the pea puree and bring to a boil. Season with salt.
Serve with sour cream or cream.
2. Pea soup with meatballs
Ingredients
- 250 g of crushed pea;
- 2 small onions;
- 1 carrot;
- 4 small potatoes;
- 300 g of minced meat;
- salt, black pepper - to taste;
- 1 egg;

Soak the peas for a few hours, and then rinse and put to boil. Onions, carrots, potatoes clean. Chop the onion, carrot rub on a fine grater, a potato cut into cubes.

3. Pea soup with mushrooms
Ingredients
- 1 ½ liter broth;
- 1 cup peas;
- 1 bay leaf;
- 500 g mushrooms;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 onion;
- 1 celery;
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil;
- salt, curry, black pepper - to taste.
preparation
In a saucepan, pour the broth, pour the peas, place a bay leaf and put on a slow fire for 30 minutes. The broth can be used either: mushroom, vegetable, beef or chicken.
Mushrooms, rinse, pat dry and cut into slices. Carrot and onion peel and cut into small cubes. Celery cut into thin slices. Onion, carrot and celery fry in vegetable oil.
After half an hour, add the peas to the mushrooms and cook for another 15 minutes. Put roasted vegetables, bring to a boil and cook for 5 more minutes.
Remove the pea soup from the heat, season with salt and pepper and add the curry. Serve with sour cream and herbs.
4. Pea soup with aromatic spices
Ingredients
- 160 g of pea;
- 3 medium potatoes;
- 1 onion;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- ½ bell pepper;
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- 1 teaspoon turmeric;
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander;
- 1 teaspoon cumin;
- ¼ teaspoon chili;
- 1 teaspoon of dried ginger;
- 1 tomato;
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste;
- salt - to taste.

Soak the peas, rinse, cover with water and simmer for about 40 minutes. Potatoes clean and cut into cubes. Onions and garlic are finely chopped, pepper cut into small strips.
On frying pan, heat a spoonful of vegetable oil, fry in it the onion and garlic until golden brown. Transfer to a plate. Put the pan spices, fry for 5 seconds, then add the potatoes. Saute over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
15 minutes before end of cooking, add the peas potatoes, even after 5 minutes - peppers, onions and garlic. Tomato peel and cut into slices. Add it to the end of cooking with tomato paste and salt. Hold for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat. Serve with sour cream and croutons.
5. Pea soup with smoked ribs
Ingredients
- 500 g of smoked pork ribs;
- 500 g of dried peas;
- 1 onion;
- 1 carrot;
- 5-6 potatoes;
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil;
- 3-4 tablespoons of mustard;
- salt, ground black pepper - to taste;
- 3 garlic cloves;

- 100 g of bacon.

Pork rib chop into pieces, put in a saucepan and simmer for about 1.5 hours: it is necessary that the meat separates easily from the bones. Then remove the edges and remove them from the meat. Strain the broth, add the pre-soaked peas and put on fire.

30 minutes after the start of cooking, put the peas potatoes and cook 10 minutes. At this time, heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onion and carrot until golden brown.
