Beautiful and high quality pictures - a pledge that pleasant moments will be no less pleasant to recall. But how to share with family and friends joy, if they are not close, but in the hands of iPhone, and publish images on a mobile device in social networks lead to a decrease in the quality of the photo? To this end, it created an application for iOS called BeamrIt will help to preserve and pass on all the details of the image without loss of quality even when publishing on Facebook or Twitter.
Did you know that if upload photos to Facebook, Twitter or just send an e-mail, their quality decreases (although in the latter It has the option to select the resolution, and Twitter-client makes use of the service Tweetpic, but do not forget about the traffic, especially on the mobile). For example, if a picture with publish iPhone in Facebook, its quality deteriorates by 90%, from 8 to 0.7 MP MP. Another thing - the publication of photographs using Beamr. This program uses the original compression photo JPEGmini technology created only a year ago. It works on the basis of special mathematical formulas, due to which the application can simulate perception of images, similar to human vision. As a result, the corresponding processing images compressed up to five times without losing its quality.
The developers of this technology from the same company has already filed 28 patent applications associated with it, and not only in the US but also in Europe and even in Japan. JPEGmini co-founder and CTO Dror Gill (Dror Gill) at one time worked at IBM.
In the market there are already two products by JPEGmini - proper application JPEGmini for Mac and a version for corporate customers, including many well-known companies, online portals and e-commerce stores. Now the developers have decided to port JPEGmini and Apple's mobile platform.
The app itself is very easy to use. It requires no registration, and when you start offering open photo album, from which you can select photos to share on social networks or send an e-mail. Image resolution in the publication will continue: in the case of the iPhone 4S / 5 - 8 megapixels is for ordinary photos and 28 megapixels for panoramic.
However Beamr not publish pictures of themselves, and the link to the server, where they are placed and stored in a processed form (without losing quality). Because the program does not imply the registration link and the photos themselves are not protected from prying eyes, though hidden behind the other, a false reference. Recipients links can view photos on the server and download them to their computers.
In the future, the developers plan to add features Beamr opportunity in the same way to compress and videos. Android-version also on the way.
Beamr available for free download for iOS from App Store.
