Information resource Digitimes published plan the release of new processors from Intel for several quarters to come. Perhaps future processors for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air will represent a chip Intel Arrandale (Calpella platform) made following the 32-nm process technology and with an indicator TDP, no greater than 35 watts.
The first four of the processor - a Core i5-520M, Core i5-430M, Core i3-350M and Core i3-330M. They will be available in the first half of January 2010, and will be used in most notebook medium and premium, according to observers by Digitimes, citing sources close to producers laptops.
In particular Core i5-430M has a clock frequency of 2.26 GHz dual core mode and 2.53 GHz in the single-core mode if Turbo Boost activation technology. Core i3-350M processor and is clocked at 2.26 GHz, but does not support Turbo Boost technology. Finally, Core i3-330M is clocked at 2.13 GHz and supports Turbo Boost. Core i5 processor includes a graphics core that is clocked at 500 MHz, but it can increase up to 766 MHz. Graphic Core i3 core has the same frequency of 500 MHz, and if necessary can be increased to 667 MHz.
Another 32-nanometer mobile processor from Intel - Core i7 640UM - will consume only 18 watts, but it does not exceed the maximum frequency of 2.26 GHz. This is a great option for future MacBook Air models.
