Along with the optimization of the interface, and new features like HealthKit, iOS 8 offers several new API for developers, which will help them to create even better applications that are tightly integrated with system. Two of the key API - it's Touch ID and extensions. First It allows developers to use in their applications fingerprint scanner, iPhone 5s, expansion as will enable them to integrate into your applications, the functionality of other programs and vice versa.
1Password password manager popular developers are now tested for iOS beta version application that works with both API. Portal 9to5mac already tested it and hurry to share their impressions.
AgileBits emphasize that it is still early beta, but despite this, the two functions feel third-party application "at home".
Touch ID
1Password is just the application for which the Touch ID is of paramount importance. Instead of every time to enter a complex master password, you will only have just put your finger on the sensor. This works as easy as unlocking your iPhone 5s. If you for some reason can not enter using Touch ID, you can always take advantage of colonial and traditional master password.
The beta version of 1Password has a lot of settings on the password authentication request time and duration. For users with devices without Touch ID provides the entrance to the vault using the basic iPhone password, instead of a master password.
expansion
Also in the application implements the functions of the expansion, and now sheringa menu, such as Safari, there is a new button «1Password». To add sheringa option, you must first be noted in 1Password "extensible" application list.
After clicking on the button in 1Password sheringa menu in Safari, you will need to choose a password of your repository and confirm it using Touch ID. This works much the same way as the mobile version of 1Password on the Mac as an extension for Safari.
Is finite, all described features can be radically changed or removed before the final release. Developers do not indicate it as possible, but most likely it will be held simultaneously with the release of iOS 8.
AgileBits also work on updating the interface the Mac-version of the application, which is also in beta testing. We assume that the update for both platforms will be free, but developers have not yet given any comment on the matter.
