Why use the application for Adobe Air harm (vote)

Having been on a recent MediaCamp event in Kiev, I drew attention to the fact that people are very hardcore tweets (about 2,500 records at a specified hashtag). But most interesting is that most were launched multipanel Twitter-client such as Seesmic and Twitdeck. And I wanted to imagine such, but to my further surprise in the complexity of the selection there was no limit.
The most popular of multipanel customers - it Twitdeck and Seesmic. I set myself Adibe Air finally established and Seesmic, because once enjoyed Twitdeck'om and I did not like. Launched ...
And that's what I did not like:
- Seesmic in memory "consumes" over 200MB! And, if you have 2-4 GB of RAM, as I have - it's not scary, how people use such a client on a netbook with 1GB of memory, I have no idea. Seesmic swelled in the memory to 250MB, and then sort of calmed down. =)
- application imee non-native interface for my operating system, which is awful it emulates, but fonts and application behavior depressing - scrolling lists choppy, distorted resize avatars "Fonts curves" Downtime spell checker that works in all programs my OS, etc.
It became obvious that to use such an application is not quite reasonable.
Next, I decided to try Web version multipanel Twitter-client Seesmic.
- like the fact that the web client is running smoothly, do not twitch, beautiful fonts, resize images right, gray and black design theme.
- the only application running in Safari, Seesmic not ate more than 200MB, as if I had not chased and worked much gladche and nicer than the hack on Air.
Next, I began to look for a native client for my OS, and this has been found. It is called Nambu, which is currently in closed beta, but you can download it on Siftpedia.
Called beautiful design language does not turn, but at the height of the application's functionality - it makes all the samples that require users multipanel Twi-customers.
And most importantly - it is free and is in memory of my PC just 50MB of memory, which is normal for a netbook.
Do you regularly use Adobe Air applications to work or vacation?
What native clients (not Air or Web) you use in your operating system?
