The latest data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech about the iPhone 6 sales and the iPhone 6 Plus has shown that Apple devices year after year continue to gain market share in all countries surveyed, with the excluding Japan.
When viewing the period September-November 2014 you can see that the device market sales of Android-based fall in most European countries and the first time since September 2013 decreased in the United States. During the same period, Apple's sales in the UK reached 42.5 percent, which is 12.2 more than last year.
In the US kupertinovtsy also showed an increase and reached a figure of 47.4 per cent market share. This is not surprising, given the relatively high sales of new iPhone models at launch. More detailed statistics for we shall see at the end of the month October-December, when the company fail quarterly results.
Despite the decline in the share in many markets, Android remains the dominant platform in Europe, with a share market 69.9 per cent, although this share decreased by 3.2 percent compared to the same period in 2013 year. Kantar also noted that the number of users upgrading from Android to iOS steadily remains in the region of 18% in the period from 2013 to 2014. Presumably this is due to an increase in diagonal screen of the iPhone, which was an additional motivation for Android users.
