Why, instead of the iPhone 5, we got iPhone 4S?

Although we have not seen any changes in the iPhone 4S design compared to its predecessor, there are reports, that the next generation iPhone, which is expected in 2012, will get a really significant change in design.

Business Insider reports contact with a source with access to the prototype of the iPhone 5. According to the source, Apple really intends to release iPhone 5 this year, but had to postpone the release date several months before the iPhone 4S presentation. Here are some of the future iPhone specifications provided by the source:

• 4-inch screen
• "Nice 'design
• Aluminum back cover
• Capacitive button "home"
• A significant increase in productivity at the expense of battery life
• The main chamber 10 megapixels
• Siri

The source also said that basic design critic was Steve Jobs himself, who claimed that the magnified display will lead to fragmentation of the entire iOS ecosystem.

It should be noted that before this Business Insider is not considered particularly reliable source, when it came to Apple products. However, they reported that they themselves are to receive a message with a grain of salt.
