OS X has always been famous for a different set of applications on almost all occasions. Most of them we use several times a day (Finder, Mail, iTunes, Preview, TextEdit), but some undeservedly overshadowed and when they need them, we do not even know that the right tool we at hand. To correct this injustice, I made a small selection of these applications and offer you to get acquainted with it.

1. Bunch of keys
Keychain Access application is in the general list of programs in Utilities and its hardly noticed at the first acquaintance with the system. It is a powerful tool designed to store your login information, security certificates and all sorts of accounts. For ordinary users, Keychain useful because it can tell you any of your password if you forget it. Simply type in the search box your username or site name, and the application will display all of your account information. A password will be hidden and to display it will need to enter your root password.
2. papers
Hidden deep in the programs folder, Notes hard to notice unless specifically look for. If you are one of those people who love to write notes, reminders (Post-it), and use them in the work of this little tool is just handy. They are the same functionality of its paper counterpart: After entering the text, you can "stick" the note to any part of the screen. Note will be constantly on your mind and you will be hard to forget the correct case. Upon exiting the application all the notes are automatically saved.
In other words, the Notes can be compared to a virtual whiteboard for notes, this is the perfect solution to save your notes, ideas, images, or even passwords (even though it is not safe) to have access to them fast access.
3. Screenshot
App screenshot can be found in a folder Programs — Utilities. As you may have guessed, it is designed for taking screenshots. The same thing can be done with keyboard shortcuts ⌘ ⇧3 / ⌘ ⇧4 you say, but I will answer that this is not quite the same thing. The fact that the screenshot gives us two unique features.
Firstly, we can take screenshots with a delay (timer), it is very useful when you need to capture some action that occurs when your participation. For example, I use a screen capture when doing adding hotkeys screenshots. ⌘ ⇧3 usual there will not be enough, because the key combination ⌘ ⇧3 simply added as a shortcut, instead of the captures.
In the Vautour, Screen Capture can capture the mouse pointer in the screenshot. And, what type of cursor to be, you can specify in the settings. Therefore for normal screens I use ⌘ ⇧3 / ⌘ ⇧4 (with different modifiers), and to run custom screen capture.
4. migration assistant
When you first start (immediately after installation) OS X, you will be asked to use the Migration Assistant and recover your data from your old Mac or PC. But it is not only a chance to use it, you can always find this tool in the folder Programs — Utilities. Migration Assistant will be useful to you in the sale of old the Mac or a PC, and if you just go to keep their data as a backup. If you want to run the Migration Assistant on the PC - will have to install a special Windows-version.
5. QuickTime Player
QuickTime Player - a multimedia machine for watching videos and more. If you just installed any third-party player, then it could miss the old days QuickTime. It is not necessary to bypass his party, because it is also a powerful tool, with hidden features. For QuickTime advantages include the fact that it has convenient operation and advanced features slow-motion and frame by frame playback. Initially, he did not play Windows Media format, but it is easy to correct installation Flip4Mac. In addition, QuickTime can not only play, but also record video - with its help you can easily remove the video tutorial, making the capture of your Mac's screen. For more information on capture function and Advanced management Playback I described in my previous articles.
