The Grid: an alternative to the standard calendar

Application developers for the iOS, it seems, found a replacement for virtually all standard applications: alternative music and video players, to-do lists, messengers, photographic applications, alarm clock, calculator, e-mail clients... almost every integrated application you can find your alternative. But the situation is somewhat different to the calendar: decent alternatives in the store are still few applications. But developers are not asleep, and occasionally there are interesting solutions. Which include and The Grid, which I'll discuss today.
First of all, The Grid stands out for its moderately easy: minimalism among developers of applications is now clearly in vogue. Working with the calendar well organized: you can switch quickly by date, create new events. Furthermore, events can be displayed for each particular calendar, for example, only the events of working or home calendars. A particularly convenient feature seemed to me the events of templates. With their help, you can seriously save yourself time on scheduling.
The application has a setting item, in which you can change the color of the interface, select the day for the week, including large print. There are some other features.
The big downside is that the app syncs with the standard calendar, so that you can not mount a new calendar directly from the app - will first have to dig in settings. But rather, it is a question not to developers, but to the very Apple, which creates obstacles for developers at the API level. Also, it does not make me happy and pretty curve of Russification. But it is good that there is at least this.
But, in general, if you want to replace the default calendar with something new, it's worth a try The Grid. Of course, this app is not perfect - because of certain constraints API, it can not fully replace you standard calendar, but if these disadvantages are not critical for you, then there is no reason not to try to The Grid work.
