Windows-software world richer, and above all this applies to games. EA until just beginning to release toys for Mac OS X. So before many the question arises - how to run Win-program and whether it is possible to do this at all?
Yes, you can. At the moment, there are several options:
- BootCamp. Apple technology lets you set separate Windows. When you want to work with this operating system, you only need to reboot.
- Parallels. Domestic development. Unlike BootCamp it is that in order to work with the "vindovyh" programs do not need to reboot
- Crossover. It allows you to work with Windows-based programs without having to install the Windows itself.
Each of the solutions have their pros and cons.
BootCamp provides full support for Windows. You can work with any software, in fact you PC. But on the other hand, BootCamp weighs 350 MB, requires a reboot and it should be periodically updated as at the expiry of beta license.
Parallels lets you work with virtually all Windows-based programs without having to reboot. However, the program is quite demanding on resources and does not always work perfectly.
Crossover allows you to save on the purchase of a license for Windows (and even cheaper than Parallels), but on the other hand supports the least programs. If you have you found in the list of officially supported applications right (and there is present even MS Office), congratulations! Otherwise, stable operation is not guaranteed.
Ultimately, any choice will be a compromise. But I had the opportunity, "Crossover".
